I hung at the Indiana Dunes about ten years ago. I specifically asked the ranger and they had no problem with it. Why not call, ask and explain the procedure?

That's the safest bet. And getting an email would be great for proof. You can ask 10 different people and get 10 different answers.

I don't know if they will be there this year, but they were at the 2013 Brown County Breakdown so you might want to bring your mountain bike and check it out.
