My tablecloths are 90x132. I just whip the ends and hang em. There is fabric flop but I generally just sit my foot up on top of it when warm and when cold I lay a little straighter and fold the excess flap over my body to keep body heat in. So in short, I like the extra width BUT if I was going for ultralight I wouldn't have it. My first hammock was made out of 60 inch material 11 feet long. I lost an inch on each side for hemming. I used it last fall camping out and while i slept fine I missed the extra width.

6'2" and 280.
