Bob, what's the water situation? Hopefully there will be plenty near the campsite so we don't have to pack it in.
In case some one needs me to post it.
((( The 2014 Colorado Spring Bikepacking Hang is on. )))
Basic schedule:
Meet at my house Saturday morning 8AM, we will leave as a group.
You can arrive as early as you like please don't be late.
It will take about 2 hours to get the vehicles, bikes, gear, and peeps positioned at the two THs.
Day one is 4.5 miles. The majority of the climbing is on the first day. We will take this very slow so
everyone can get the feel of how a loaded bike handles on singletrack.
We should be in camp a little after lunch.
Hope to have a nice evening group fire so lots of small camp projects
building a fire pit, gathering wood, maybe some log seats.
RkyMtnChkwgn and myself have gotten quite industrious in the past with wilderness camp furniture.
There should be plenty of RnR time Sat afternoon so bring some music, a book, or
dry socks for a bushwack hike to Chair Rock or Little Patsy Quarry.
Sunday morning. No reason to get up too early it will be chilly. Feel free to plan a big breakfast and a slow camp teardown.
The ride to the river is about 8 miles and mostly down hill. We should get back to the cars by 12 noon.
I will have a large cooler in my vehicle you are welcome to put your favorite drink/s in it.
You are also welcome to stow your fishing gear for the post ride fishing along the river.
If you don't fish it is absolutely beautiful to just ride along the river.
After fishing I was going to suggest a late lunch dinner at Zoka's.
======================
Things not to forget.
Helmet, thin leather gloves, bike repairs tools, spare tire, enough water for riding, and all meals.

That all sounds great Bob. Glad to hear we'll have some options for exploring after setting up camp.
Spare tire? I'm bringing a tube but not a spare tire.
