    Flagstaff

I'm traveling to Flagstaff at the end of the month for business. I am a NAU Alumni and would be interested in seeing if anyone is interested in hanging around Arizona . . . anywhere from Phoenix up to Flagstaff.

    Dates are:

    June 26 and June 27

    Please let me know

well, crap. i'll be in the Mt. Baldy wilderness escaping the heat. you should check out Kendrick peak @ 10,400 and climb the fire lookout for crazy views. (you can see N. Rim of Grand Canyon from there)
downside: you must carry all of your water for the trip. 4 miles one way.

As an ex-Flagstaff resident, I would be delighted to join you, but it won't be happening, at least on those dates. Enjoy!

Flagstaff, Jessi and I really want to live there some day! We saw some good hanging spots near Mt. Humphry.

Man, I am out of state that weekend. Now that's TWO AZ trips that I have to pass on. It's always a pleasure to meet more hangers. Good luck on your trip, I hope you have a great time. We just did an overnight trip near Mt Humphreys from Shultz Tank up to Doyle saddle on the weekend of 5/23. At that time there was still snow around to melt for water. I imagine if you went a little further in you could probably still find some. We were planting our legs in snow all the way to our crotch on some stretches of that trail past Doyle saddle going down in to the Inner Basin. And you can't beat the views up there! There are some decent campsites just to the left of Doyle saddle (south), up a small grade.

The definitive reference for hiking in Arizona is hikearizona.com

Here's a link to information on this trail, and directions to the trailhead. You might have to register at the site to view the hike. It's free, and this place is an awesome resource that we use all the time.
