Has anyone measured the Silnylon panels used to fabricate the undercover in the Hennessey super shelter? I'm curious about the dimensions and how well it conforms to the bottom of the hammock.
Thanks
Philip

I've not, but DaleW played with this a few years back. It seemed to work for him, and my DIY poncho/undercover was inspired by his.

Are you looking to DIY one for yourself, or just curious about the fit? I have one with my HHUB, and it's a fairly close fit. I'm always surprised by the insulation quality of the underpad, considering that it's so thin. But it works, and you can definitely stay warm down to around 30F-40F without doing too much else other than the requisite space blanket.
Both, possibly, just looking at pictures it looks like a different cut than the KAQ pattern (https://www.hammockforums.net/index.php?page=kaq) I had seen here on hammockforums and was curious how it was different.
The poncho is interesting too - thanks @FLRider ! I will give that a closer look!

You will need to specify whether you want the Expedition or the Explorer SS dimensions before someone measures for you.
I've not taken mine apart but from the looks of it it is rather funky. It's been a while since I looked at it but if memory serves there are some atypical seams in its construction. It hugs the Explorer very nicely. I've been down to 12* with a crap Walmart 0* Coleman bag. I didn't last the whole night but that's because I was in my backyard and the lights from the apartment complex next door would not let me get to sleep. But I was toasty until I decided to get into the dark of my bedroom.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

You're not doing anything wrong. The link appears to be broken. However, former mod angrysparrow mirrored the link as a .pdf here.
