Mule Tape substitute! (I found some!)

If you go to MEC you can get 1/2 inch webbing rated to 450kg. 16g/metre.

    http://www.mec.ca/product/0406-033/j...10/50019/50282

Best part is: sold by the metre!

    REI has something similar: http://m.rei.com/product/610111/blue...descriptionTab

Actually it is not the same product.

Mule tape is a poly product so it is limited to no stretch. If it stretched it would not be good for pulling cables through conduit which is it's original use.

Climbing webbing is usually a nylon product because climbers prefer stretch to break I have some of the green stuff I purchased from REI before I knew the difference. I used it as straps for my tarp one night...not actual ridge line just as straps...and the wind and weight of the tarp caused enough stretching that my tarp was loose and flapping long before morning.
