A group of us all used white tarps on our last winter arctic jaunt. All commented on how light and airy it felt underneath.

My new winter tarp has a silver internal coating which also gives a lot more reflected light.

Light coloured tarps are winners in winter IMO.

I've never worried about having a light colored tarp in the winter because the sun goes down so early. It seems like there is never a time when the tarp is up in sunlight. However, a bright moon with snow cover seems to light up a light colored tarp like a mantle. On the other hand, if it is a clear night, I will likely pull the tarp to one side so I can see the sky anyway.

Where did you get that material/tarp?

The cuban tarp has a green tint. The silnylon tarp leaves a green tint in your wallet.
