ike... the deletion of the prusik is for the hammock UCR.

I dont think you will be pleased with the guy line UCR without some sort of tensioning mechanism. IN order for the UCR to work, there needs to be tension on the constrictor. I dont think you can achieve that in a tarp tie out simply by tightening the UCR. If the tarp had enough give, it might be possible... but I dont think even a nylon tarp has enough give.

For the guy lines, you do not need the fixed eye in the tail of the constrictor. That is only there in the hammock UCR to attach a prusik knot.

For the guylines, you will have a fixed eye on either end, just like the hammock UCR. 1 fixed eye in the constrictor and 1 fixed eye in the main line opposite one another.

Ill grab a picture of the working end of the guy line and throw it up in the appropriate forum...

I never used tensioners on my tarp up to this point, being that it is spinnaker and tends to stay taught, but i will if you think it needs it, you are the expert!

Give it a try without first. Its not difficult to add a tensioner after the fact.

The guy lines are built the same way, just with the guy line measurements. And no fixed eye in the tail of the constrictor.
What are your preferred guy line measurements for guyline ucr's? I mean fixed eye length and whatnot, i assume its alot less than a regular fixed eye.

I posted them in the tail end of the whoopie tie out thread in the weather protection forum.

Has anyone found a sleeker method of securing the end of a UCR bury than a rolling/prusik hitch or rubber?

Edit: Somehow I'd overlooked Hogn8r's whipping method. I' think I'll give that a go.

I forget who at the moment but someone is using a section of doubled over latex or silicone tubing.
