    CHEAP DOWN!!!!! $100 / lbs 800fp

So I found it. Well i didnt really I just found this site on Backpacking light one late night awhile ago and I didnt want to bring it to you guys until I knew whether it was quality or not.

But what I've found is that this is the good stuff!! I ordered 2lbs of 800fp white down with water treatment. I have yet to test the water treatment aspect but the 800fp seems good if not better. I did the jar test but only used my hand to compress the down so nothing super scientific. But these are my results so I would say this is better than 800fp.

I measured 1/2oz of down and let it loft, calculated area and figured out where 400fp would be because I figured a full ounce would be the 800fp. So heres my pictures and address for website.

    Enjoy!

The free shipping is awesome. Well its just included in the price. Also just a heads up they only ship FedEx ground, so orders will take between 7-10 days. But still you cant beat that price. I was reading that some guys bought the 900fp down from them on Backpacking Light, they were also very impressed. But I was only willing to spend the money for 800fp and am very happy with the lofting powers of it.

I bought some down from them. Good quality and great price. The packaging was not great though. It came in an oversized bag that looked like a cheap version of a blue poly tarp material. Very statically charged. It was hard to get all of the down out. In fact I couldn't even shake it all down to the bottom of the bag. A lot of the clusters just stick to the side of the bag. Other than that it is well worth the price. Here's a pic of the bag I got.

Could you rub a dryer sheet in the bag to help with the static cling?

I placed an order with them about a month ago and just finished building a TQ with the down. I ordered 16 oz of 900 fp with a water repellant coating. As far as I can tell it is exactly as described and actually was a little over a pound. I haven't tested the WR coating yet, and didn't see any noticeable difference in feel between WR down and regular down (not that there is one). Definitely a great bargain. I signed up for their site and received a 10% off coupon as well, reducing my price to around $125 or $130.

I agree about the packaging though. It is pretty bad. It is a bag made out of the old cheap blue tarp material and is terribly clingy. It made stuffing the quilt a little more tedious (even my vacuum couldn't get all of the down out of the bag).
