Joined the ranks of full time hammockers last night

Got some brackets put up in the bed room and DIY'd a tablecloth hammock. Don't quite have it dialed in yet, the spots I had to put the brackets are a little high so I have more sag than I'm use to. I used a JrB nest as under quilt until I get something else made. I was plenty warm, but my neck and ears got cold without a pillow under them. When camping I normally wear a hat or hoodie and rather no pillow in a hammock. I'll have to find a small thin pillow for that.

Otherwise slept great. The Mrs thought I was joking when I she gave the ok to hang a hammock in the bedroom. I showed her

Now about to search for a Brazillian

Pictures aren't great. But I got a rope cleat from tractor supply for wall bracket. Made two amsteel dogbones and double larks headed to hammock ends. With Dutch buckles I attached dogbones straight to tree straps.

This was the 90" wide one. I think a 132" x 60" would be plenty big enough. When laying at a diagonal that is comfortable to me, there is enough material leftover to fold back over me and I am 6'.

Wow, that's awesome. My wife says it's a bedroom, not hammock room. I said that a hammock room sounded rather nice to me. I'm working on her though, she's starting to turn the corner.

Welcome to the fulltimers club. I don't need much pillow but the travel pillows are just about right. Just a little of one end under my neck when on the back and the center under my head when on my side. I use the inflatable ones and just blow it up half way.

By that logic, the only thing you do in a bathroom is bathe... and don't think of doing anything but eating in the dining room... =]

So after a month of full timing I figured I'd report back. Sleep is great. I've even tried the bed a few times just to see how it felt. By early morning I was moving back to the hammock. Back and neck feels great.

And I've switched hammocks. The wife said no more red. So I got a white 156"x90". Longer is better.
