High Sierra Sniveller vs Old Rag Mountain

I'm looking these JRB topquilts and I really dont see much difference between the HSS and ORM other than the width, price, and name. Am I missing something here because I'm not seeing the value of the extra $50 for HSS?

I'm 6'4" and would be buying the long quilt versions.

Edit: I see the ORM is on sale now so it would be a $20 difference at regular price. My bad.

The sniveller has an opening to allow you to wear it and is tapered. The old rsg is rectangular

I used to have the Old Rag Mountain, but sold it and went with the High Sierra Sniveller because it is wider. I knew on my AT thru hike that I would at times be sleeping in a shelter, so I wanted the wider TQ for when sleeping on the ground. Otherwise, they are both super warm

So in terms of warmth they are pretty much the same? Then the ORM can be used as both underquilt or topquilt but the HSS cannot?
