I'm looking for some non-breathable fabric for making some vapor barrier clothing...some of the commercial products seem to use a laminated/fuzzy fabric.
Does anybody have sources or trade names for such fabrics?
Thanks!

The thermoflect blankets we got from a hospital supply place night be good. The blue side is soft, but the shiny side would reflect radiant energy back to your body if you used it that side in.
I got a reply back (quickly-overnight) from Warmlite/Stephenson's....
I'll report back as I progress with this project.Yes, we do sell the fabric. The fabric is $8 per yard and will run
approx. 60" wide. I have the fabric in black or tan.
Are you referring to the sort of fabric that is used to construct silent weave waterproof hunting gear, or something similar? Breathable like goretex, but also waterproof... I would love to make some rain gear out of that sort of material!
Follow these simple rules: Rule 9, Rule 11, Rule 16, Rule 44, Rule 44, Rule 51, and Rule 69.
I'm not sure about the fabric you describe, but as I understand it vapor barrier clothing needs a completely non-breathable coating/fabric to work properly.
I used coated ripstop for some DIY VB clothing years ago, but apparently there are 'fuzzy-back' and laminated fabrics that are used nowadays.
warmlite.com (linked above) and http://www.rbhdesigns.com/category/172/apparel.htm are a couple of examples I've found.
I love WL's Fuzzystuff fabric that is used in their VB shirt and socks. I have had more over all comfort wearing it than I have with wearing a thin layer of Long Johns or liner sock under unlined VB fabric. I have often planned to- but have not- get some of the fabric and make some VB pants, and maybe even a hood.
rbh is really good, but pricey. I have a pair of their socks, nice, but very bulky. Even in big pac boots they're a bit snug. The inside isn't fuzzy, but comfortable witrhout socks all the same.
