    Finished climashield UQ torso length


    New diy UQ 1.1 ripstop from DIYgearsuppluy. 5.0climashield from thru hiker. Used one sheet this time should be warmer.

    Looks nice! My material is in and will be doing the same plus a TQ. I was really surprised with the small package the 5.0 CS came in. From the looks of it I feel they will fit in my pack just fine.
    Any advice or if I did it again I'd do......??? Tnx for the pictures.

    I followed you tube vid and they made one side of shell larger than the other to make a roomy pocket for insulation. I will not do this on the next one. Pin everything together well before sewing. UQ in wallmart drybag not compressed very well. camping with hammocks has good youtube video. That is what i went by.

    Half a day. Would have been quicker but some of the fabric slipped on the sides and did not get sewn so i had to remove stitches and re sew. Also it is easier if you sew the ends together them sew the crossgrain on. Watch the crossgrain it will double over on the bottom an stitches will miss. Go slow and watch all layers of material. They like to run from the needle.
