I have underquilts from UK Hammocks, Warbonnet, Wilderness Logics and Hammock Gear. Of those, I prefer the Hammock Gear underquilts. Yes, Hammock Gear has communication problems. And there were some issues with one of the underquilts I ordered 3 years ago (they forgot to sew on some tabs). But I recently ordered 2 short Incubators, one 20° and 0°, and they're beautiful. Very light. They fit my hammocks better than any other underquilt I own. The new suspension system is genius and much easier to adjust than any of the other full-length underquilts I used. And the Argon fabric seems to be indeed *very* down proof.

The other underquilts are absolutely fine to use, too. But I'm missing the ease of set-up (I needed to add lots of additional shock cords to keep the full-length uq from sagging). They are not cut to conform to the hammock/me as well. They are a lot heavier (with the exception of the Warbonnet Yeti and Lynx - but they are in a class of their own). And especially the Wilderness Logics uq leaks down.

Hammock Gear offers a lot of unique features that make their underquilts my first choice. Although if I were to use a 3/4 uq, I would probably go with the WB Yeti.

Something similar to Jacks r better shenandoah, for top and underquilts. for the better half and I to use as underquilts, she is a fair weather packer. Or I can use both on solo trips. Or another vendor to make something similar? Wilderness logics gets high praises and i like the corkscrew design, just seen a quilt on here by oxgear. Who else makes custom gear with more than kelly green color options? thanks in advance for for any input, especially if you have similar gear.
FRT, JRB has not used kelly green for four years... all quilts are olive, some might descibe it as spruce.

I would agree spruce is a better description of my mt wash 4. thanks Pan. Thanks for everyone's responses. My choices are narrowing down. When I decide I will let everyone know what I chose. Anyone here have a shenandoah? That they could chime in would be great

If you will be happy with whoever you choose why not look at what they offer and pick the one who has something closest to your requirements? Color, size, delivery time? etc.

Underground quilts make some real nice custom color quilts and they have great customer service. Definitely worth a look.
    Good luck,

So I went with Underground quilts, order the 50 deg, tq with rigging to use a an underquilt. I can wait till it gets here, I may order another if it works well as an underquilt. I almost went with Mid Atlantic mountain works, Because the have camo argon. for only 5 buck extra! Maybe for another I may go with MAMW so I can do a side by side comparison? Will post more when it comes in.

I have a UGQ flight jacket 20, and I love it. I'm considering their zeppelin underquilt, too. I also hear good things about the HG quilts as well. Both their underquilts and their topquilts.
