    Tarp Pole Modification

I need to sell some gear to fund the next hammock project. Here I have two sets of above the Tarp, Pole Modification setups. These are made using Easton NanoLite .344 aluminum poles. They are 4 sections each so they pack a little smaller. The tips are setup to receive grommets, but I just used them with a continuous loop attached to the pullout. They have 3/32" shock cord inside. I have included pictures for clarification, but please ask any questions you may have.

Total weight is 4.8oz per set.
    Total length is 54.5"
    Collapsed length is 15.5"

Asking $40 shipped for each set. I accept PayPal. Per forum rules, first "I'll Take It" gets it.

I got a set of these from Padovini a couple months back. These are well made and I'd recommend them to anyone with a Superfly.

As shown by the last photo, they pull the side panned pulls up and out. Thus, opening the inside under the tarp up for more room. Here is a photo from inside the tarp.

What kind of modifications do you have to make to these poles in order to do this? I see that these poles come in 16" sections so four sections makes 64". Did you have to cut one of the, down to get to 54"?

No modifications needed to the tarp, you just have to have pullouts already sewn on. As for the poles, I cut each pole down to approximately 13" and use 4 sections. This is so the overall length is about 15.5 inches when packed up. The first set I made used 3 full length poles (18" each) and they just didn't fit into my pack well, hence why I spent a little more and made 4 section kits. I was able to use the cutoff ends as toggles for my suspension as to not waste anything.

Also note that these have inserts and shock cord so that they go together like tent poles. There are several threads available for a complete step by step instruction and parts list if you would like to research it a little more.

Link to the thread I got the idea from

Don't all superflys have pullouts? I ask because I want to buy one one day, and I don't see any mod options on Warbonnet's sight
