    These are the BEES KNEES!

RF Do you know what the length of rope you used in the smallest and largest before splicing and burying?

Here's a couple of shock cord Nacrabiners... use them as Nacra/Prussiks and there is no more need for the tiny aluminum 'biners to hold your UQ suspension up over the ridgeline of your hammock!

I see you used DG for these.

PLease dont trust that stopper knot if you are using these to carry weight. I only used a simple stopper on the ones I made because they wont see the abuse one tied into a suspension system will.

Nifty, Mac. I like the simplicity of the adjustable knot.

Opie, I'd like to replace a carabiner in my suspension with a Nacrabiner. What knot (if any) would you suggest as a stopper?

Dave, the two-strand diamond knot (#781 in Ashley's) is what's recommended... works well with Amsteel.

EDIT/WARNING: I used a fisherman's bend in the shock cord because there is no load. Amsteel and other slippery materials need a better stopper on the end.

I am going to be offering suspension-rated Nacrabiners starting within the next day or so. Standard will be 7 1/2" long when open. $8.00@ in 7/64 amsteel. Custom sizes available. I am getting a website set up. All who are interested before the website is up, please PM me

WV, you want to use a diamond knot for serious loads.

Curious - it looks like a regular nacrabiner.

Why did you change the name?

I'm always needing a mini-biner/S-biner when I'm out but I hate to carry 2/3lbs. of biners just in case. After reading this thread, I see several options for a field serviceable solution to that problem. I always carry some extra cordage so now I can just make what I need. Especially after seeing Running Feather's post. A length of cord, stopper knot on one end, a slip knot of the other and presto, a mini-biner.

I think he calls the long ones Klemheist Nacrabiners because he's going to attach them to another line with a Klemheist knot.
