The pic in post #4 is the stock pic. However ... the last pick in the OP is the genuine article on a hang in Kings Mountain Natl' Park. I will see if I have another since it's a little distant in the OP.

Found one, I think this and the one in the OP are the only pics I have of it. Didn't really use it.

Monsoon is shorter than the Typhoon, otherwise they are the same thing. Tom Hennessy sort of manipulated the images of the two tarps to look different, however they are the same, the typhoon is just a few inches longer for the larger Hennessy Hammocks.

Sorry but I got to ask..
There is a "door" on both ends correct?
The pic only looks like one end is enclosed with a door the other end looks open.
    I'm just want to know.

The monsoon has 3 tie outs per side vrs. the 2 on the typhoon (I think).

Do not go back to lurking, you learn by asking questions. Lots of people wonder, but they do not ask questions, so the brave people who ask, are asking for all the less daring folk who just lurk.

Please ask questions, post your ideas and be a part of this community, we were all new at one time. We need new, fresh members to keep breathing in fresh air so the site does not become stale.

Someplace on Hennessey's site there is chatter about the size being the difference and the fact that Tom H. likes to post his own images of his products and some other gossipy little bits of information. I read the article a couple of years ago, so there could very well have been changes made in the past few months, costs of doing business are going up and cost cutting measures are happening so there could have been some slight changes.

Well, I'm going up to the Hoosier Hang this weekend so hopefully I'll get to see some rainfly rigs. The one that came with my HH seems pretty small if it were really stormy and I don't want my down stuff getting wet.

That will be a great opportunity to learn and see a lot, hope you enjoy yourself. With the stock tarp pitched low and tight it offers a substantial amount of protection due to it's asymmetrical shape, give yours a go in the backyard the next time rain is forecast. Learn at home rather than in the field as much as possible.
