    Hand Tied Hammocks

I remember someone asking if there were directions for tying a hammock. I found this article while prowling around. I have not read it in part because the contrast on the website is so horrid my eyes gave out, but from the little I did read and the reputation of Mother Earth News I suspect it might be very helpful.

I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I've been looking at that site for a long time thinking about trying my hand at making one of those hammocks. The diagrams leave A LOT to be desired, but I still think it would be a fun project for a weekend.

    niiiiiiice!
My mom and I tried making a macrame (not netted as in the mother earth article) and it was ... interesting. Due to a knot spacing misunderstanding, we ran out twine long before we ran out of hammock, so to speak.

Here is a good video (2 parts) about making your own hammock. I found it very instructional.
