    Drat,

I just took my brand new forest green OMW down from a quick test pitch, I didn't take photos though.

EDIT: I just checked and the color is dark green, exactly like the Hennessy green urethane coated tarps if that is any useful reference. It looks very dark in the stuffsack but since it is silnylon it lets more light pass through than I expected, it did not feel dark or cave-like at all. I really like it I will try to get some photos up in the next day or so....maybe a comparison of a couple of tarps

    Cheers

These photos are spot on for color in my experience, and what I used to pick the color of my Tadpole.

    Happy to help.

Now you're required to post pics of your gear showing us your color choice

OK I did a really quick setup for a few photos. They were taken in late afternoon with high overcast and flat light.
    No Flash used.

The first is a wrinkly photo just our of the snake skins
The second is from inside to show how much light gets in, I tried to show my jeans as a reference. Inside it is quite bright even on a so-so day.
The last photo shows how one of the tie-outs and compares a single and double layer of tarp

Hope that helps, I really like mine!

Thanks a lot Ike. After seeing yours set up and the pictures of the stuff sacks together it looks like Green for the win!

I have a grey 11' now but I'm selling it to a friend because I want a 12' now to better cover by 11' hammock

I really like the green tarp, I like to the blend into my surroundings while avoiding browns or blacks

    Enjoy your new tarp!

I just picked up one of the camo tadpoles. I'm finding that it blends very well in the woods without looking too obviously camo. The true timber pattern is kind of nice looking and the colors work well with lots of different species of trees.
