This seems like a bad idea...

Found this over on /r/hammocks. Does this make anyone else nervous?

Looks like those are non climbing rated and non locking carabiners used on the top hammock. A fall from up there down onto those rocks looks like it could cause some serious injury.

The issue here, is hanging very exposed , good sized rocks...Sure you can do it, but not the smartest/safest thing to do.

Also, the background suggest the location is on an exposed bluff...Not good site selection IMHO...Unless the view is important.

Most likely this is staged photo given that thetre are no tarps and no other gear in the picture.

Pink hammocks shouldn't make anyone nervous. I tend to not hang over anything I don't want to fall on. As they say, only hang as high as you are willing to fall.

I agree with Pan, it's most likely a staged photo. Guessing at what the suspension components are seams a lit arbitrary, but they are most likely eno components so not sure what you want to stack that up to. Stacking hammock though is a very common practice for folks with kids and even couples. I have hung my boys bunk bed style many times as do a lot of members here. The spot is pretty rocky but hey hammocks are perfect for when the ground is rocky, unlevel, wet...so on and on, we all know the mantra. Probably not the spot that any of us would choose for camp but for a photo shoot it looks cool with the fog and all.
