Stored in back outer pocket of pack: Tarp, stakes, rain gear and map. Inside the pack in waterproof dry sack: quilts at bottom, then clothes, then hammock. Food and cooking gear then goes on top of all. Also stored outside in side pockets for easy access: first aid kit and toiletry kit with cat hole digger and TP. Stored in hip belt pockets: water treatment, camera and trail snacks.

Second picture down on the left side. It's the DownHammock2 though so it compresses more than a full underquilt b/c it has only ~1/4 of the material and no baffles.

Since I always like to take a short nap in the afternoon when I hike solo, I brought my hammock along with me on a day hike. It was so nice relaxing in comfort, rather than sitting on the ground, leaning up against a tree. So, once I've gotten a little further along on the hammock learning curve, I think I'll be packing it for easy access on my first 'above ground' backpacking trip.
