Anybody have any experience with this tarp? Looks pretty interesting, especially for us ULers.

    MLD Silnylon 1.35 : 12.4oz $145
OES Silnylon 1.3 Deluxe $115 with BETTER coverage

seems like a no-brainer. fwiw, MLD is overpriced on almost everything he sells

I wouldn't call it overpriced, he's just a little guy who makes everything to order, by hand. Not to mention he'll do custom orders and one of the only people I know using cuben. (not trying to sound defensive here in anyway, I don't even have any of his stuff, just food for thought)

    one more time..
    MLD Silnylon 1.35 : 12.4oz $145
OES Silnylon 1.3 Deluxe $115 with BETTER coverage

30 dollar price difference. is the workmanship better? i doubt it. Brian is also "a little guy". Brian does custom orders. and Joe at Zpacks uses cuben. also does custom orders.

    here's another example, or 3.

    cordlock LED: his price $12
    REI's price $10

    silnylon pack covers, size small
    his price: $35
    ULA's price: $20

    Smart Suds soap
    his price: for a 1.25 ounce bottle $7 ??!!
    protravelgear.com: 4oz bottle $4

it would be unfair, (only slightly?) for me to compare his ULA Conduit-class pack costing XX more since its not the same product.. but come on - on retail items that he does not make it is pure and simple price gouging. Aquamira, soap, whatever.. this list goes on.

to the OP: what im making clear here is the OES tarp is a better product for less money!! like i said, no brainer.

i have nothing against Ron either, exept higher prices. I barely can stomach paying retail much less Overpriced Retail. What a guy! really into the community, huh?!
