OR summer/ fall hang planning

so it's the time of year we start hang planning, anyone have some ideas? we could just do wahtum lake again. or do a hang after mile one on the elk creek trail where dispersed camping is allowed ( though i doubt the forest sevice would like a group of are size) if we want to do a more coastal area. just a thought, anyone have input?

Sounds interesting, I love the coast, however, it seems to be becoming a bit difficult to find a place to Hang. I sure do not want my vehicle vandalized. I wonder if there is someplace along the Columbia River. Depending on how things go the two of us could join you. I do travel with dogs, so that is a factor for some places.

When are you going to start doing your Solo Hikes? What are your parents telling you about hiking alone?

yup, the gorge is nice too! mom wants and encourages me to go and dad thinks i'm crazy

. i may or may not bring my dogs depending on location. this looks like fun on the coast: http://www.backpacker.com/rip-go-may...inations/16475 , however you can no longer overnight park at ecola- you have to park at the seaside police station witch isn't to far, just complicates things a bit.

The hang will be announced, along with this years charity, tomorrow evening (4/11/14), in a new thread. I'll put a link to it here, also. You won't want to miss this hang, it will be the best we've ever had!

PS--If anyone guesses correctly the location of this years hang before I announce it tomorrow, i'll send them a Hammock Forums patch! This is the only hint i'll give, though:
