    Working on a Style (Original)

I am working on a new style for the web site. I am trying to get it as close to the original style we had before the last upgrade.
I have enabled it temporarily and can not promise that it will remain up.
I would like some feedback on this.

You can select the style by going to the bottom left of the page.
Click the box and select "Original" from the drop down box.

    I like it too!

The black on grey works well.

Still not fond of the background and header colours but it's a whole lot better than the first bright orange that was really painful to my brain.

Too bad it's not possible to select the header and background colours from a user palette. It would certainly help those with visual difficulties including colour blindness. I know, picky, picky, sorry!

    Nice look..
I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.

When I see lovers' names carved into a tree, I don't think it's cute. I think it's strange how so many people take knives on a date.

I will try and work something up with the header later on. Thank you for the feedback.

I like the new look and having choices is nice when you want a change. Thank you guys for all the work.

On the topic of "original style" Something I miss is the UserCP button right on the front page.
As a member who posts a lot it's the first button I hit on the site to get updated on all the posts/conversations I'm participating in.
Now I know its just two clicks away tucked in the Odds & Ends tap but thought I'd bring it up. It's a very handy button.

Getting used to the new theme just fine.

I much prefer the green vs blue for topics&posts.
Save the blue for one of the other styles

    Coming along nicely

Thanks for putting effort into this.
I find (in Firefox at any rate) that the differences between the 'Original' and 'Hammock camping' themes are very subtle-basically I can't see much difference.

New format Original .jpgNew format Hammock camping.jpg
The changes I'd like to see (others have mentioned these I think...)
    -darker (black) clearer font
-link font choice a visible color
-non-fuzzy icons in the reply window
-return of the old emoticon choices, and more of them in the 'primary' list -vs in the 'more' list
-changing the layout (line spacing, font size, etc.) of the left-side 'user info box' to reduce the empty space on the page
-Today's Posts and User CP buttons clearly visible vs hidden in the 'Odds N Ends' menu

I guess none of those are 'possible' (or 'wanted') with the new software?
