Shug- what pad are you getting?
I got the REI Stratus insulated air sleeping pad. 25x78.....http://www.rei.com/product/870758/re...r-sleeping-pad
It needs a pad like this to really form the bed. I tried two of my lightweight Thermarests togather anf they just did not hold the foot end up enough.
    The Stratus feels really good.

    Greetings,

Here are a few pictures of an Amok 3.0 set up on my no-tools-required conduit stand. Cari and I will be experimenting with the attachment set up as we will be utilizing these in the stands almost exclusively.

It was super easy to setup and we placed an ExPed 9LW about 3/4 inflated into the slot and were able to get in/out without to much comedy. Set up into lounge/chair mode is easy also once done a couple times.

These are going to be great around camp!!

@Shug ; glad you were interested in trying the Amok. I believe it could be cloned in a lighter weight, but I've never seen one. I can count on a good report from you. Curious about other pad choices. Enjoy it.

Check this out, plus until 8/14 they are giving an additional 10% off. http://hiltonstentcity.com/index.php...roducts_id=559

These pads are the bomb....heh, bet you didn't think an old guy knew that reference.

If it moves, you can eat it. No promises you will think it tastes good.

It could be lightened a wee bit here or there but his vision for all-things-squared-away is pretty extraordinary. Built like a Lexus Mercades minx.
    May test sleep it tonight.
It for sure needs needs an inflatable pad to work well....http://www.amokequipment.com/sleepingpads

Had some naps and such in this hammock. Really growing on me. Can still do breakfast from the hammock but just differently. Like the way is sways a bit sideways. Takes a few times in it to figure it all out and such. Recline mode is sweet.
    It is feature filled.
For sure a different ride altogether and will find a place in my kit.
Just up from a nap in it. Dreamy.

Slept in mine this weekend in Maine- I love it! I found it easy to lay on my side and on my stomach--
