My suggestion is that when you hang the straps, pull on them. It seems to work for me. when you put it on the tree, pull along the strap as hard as you can. This should "pre-streach" them.

You're a bit tall for the DN to be comfortable overnight. I'm a couple of inches taller than you and I find it hard to get good and flat, even with a nice hang angle.
You might consider getting a table cloth and making a slightly larger whipped end hammock. The 126" x 60" crinkle taffeta table cloth blanks that are popular around here are a foot longer than then DN, are polyester (bit less give than nylon), and come with pre-sewn edges that make for easy set up. They're also a nice thick fabric, so you should be able to get away with a single layer just fine. I picked up two the other day for around $20 shipped, so it's not like you'd be spending a crazy amount if you found out you didn't like it.
There are also larger blanks available, if you wanted to go longer - I have a DIY hammock I made from some of Dutch's ARGON fabric that measures out over 11' that is super sweet to lay in.
I would have to agree with most of the fellow HF member responses considering this as a suspension issue. I would consider both the straps and the hang angle while troubleshooting. As I am fairly new to hammock camping, I tried several hammocks and setups prior to purchasing my own.
One of my friends had an ENO Doublenest that I borrowed and used on quite a few overnights at another buddies' house. In the beginning I was experiencing the same issue with the ENO Slap Straps stretching by 25-50% overnight. After doing some research here in the forums, I found that the Slap Straps were an earlier product for ENO and the Atlas Straps were created to remedy the stretching issue. I wound up purchasing some Kamook Python Straps and trying them with the Doublenest and I didn't experience the issue any further.
Welcome to the Hammock Forums and good luck. You'll find more helpful information in here than you could ever imagine.

Check the rope/line threaded through the end channels.
Those cords are not the highest quality and the inner strands can break.
Replace them with some amsteel, get some Atlas straps and you are good to go.
Size-wise, whatever feels good. I nap plenty in an ENO and like it just fine.
Overnight I prefer a longer gathered end hammock.
Best of luck.
