How small do your quilts pack? I've got a full size TQ and UQ with APEX upgrade from Paul over at Arrowhead and love them though I could really use some more room in the pack. How small do your 20 degree down quilts pack? Thinking either a 20 or 0 under with a 50 overquilt.
My 0* HG incubator packs down to 4" diameter x 9" tube. That is tight but tiny. My synthetics are three times the size even at lesser rated temps.

Each one will fit in a one gallon pitcher. The bottom quilt will fit and I got 1/2 of the top quilt in.

I just tried the one bag approach and I love it. I pack my SLD Streamliner, fronkey bugnet, UGQ 40* TQ, WL SSUQ 40* UQ, pillow and gear hammock in a 15 liter sea to summit stuff sack. So much better than a bag for each component. It takes longer to put up the tree straps than the hammock and it's ready to sleep the minute it's hung. Also love the way it fits and rides in the pack.
I do the same for my office hammock but it's a bigger bag due to the fleece in place of the down.

I normally don't compress my stuff that much because I have room. When space gets limited, you can compress down an awful lot.

Me either. Was just curious how much they could compress.
I have a 20 degree burrow wide/long and I'm shocked at how small it compresses. It is my first experience with down so more of a down thing than a burrow thing, but it is impressive. I pack my burrow, and a full set of ECWS polypropylene long underwear (pants, top, booties, balaclava, neck protector) which are very thick in a dry compression sack that still packs waaaay smaller than my 40 degree synthetic bag did with just the bag in the same compression sack.
