Lash-It Tarp CRL and Prusik Loops

First post here so hello everyone!

I use a continuous ridgeline for my tarp made from Lash-It. I've noticed that after some time in the wind or overnight that the tarp won't be as taught then when I first pulled it tight. The tarp is connect to the ridgeline with Prusik loops on each end but the loops have been slipping on the Lash-It. I know that its advised that you should use a smaller cordage from a loop then the rope you are tying it onto but Lash-It is what I had on hand so it makes up both my ridgeline and the loops. What different cordage would you guys recommend for this method?

Shot cord if you can find it. That's the lighter line they use to shoot from ship to ship, as a feeder.

Otherwise, try using a few extra wraps on the Prussics or try a Klemheist knot. They are directional, but seem to work a little better in these applications.

3 wraps works perfectly on my tarp. Often people overlook the importance of a well dressed knot. I find my prusiks need to be redressed occasionally, especially after frequent adjustment.

I use Zing-it with four wraps on the prusik. Dress prusik and redress as needed. They get so tight I have trouble adjusting tarp on the CRL.

How would mason line perform as a prussic loop on zing-it? I like haveing that as the fail point, lest the tarp get ripped to shreds...

Finally got a day to hang the tarp and wrapped the Prussics a couple extra times and that did the job! I was only using three loops so thanks for the tip.

Braided mason line works. I like to do about 5 wraps on my prussics.
