    Nordic Tent Hammock

    You guys seen this?
    http://www.nordictenthammock.com/Galleri.htm

Weighs over 4 pounds, but the interesting thing is the copyright date on bottom...started in 1990. Kinda reminds me of the new Eureka Chrysalis.

    looks tippy.

Those triangles look heavy, but cool how it's integrated and doesn't need a separate tarp.

Still, where do you cook if it's raining?

There's a picture of their military version under the "about us" tab. The camo is pretty cool. Still, the thing is pushing 5 pounds "ex mosquito net".

It's an interesting design, for sure. Does this count as the second commercially-available bridge? It doesn't look like a very flat lay since they decided to have the fabric at the head and foot end meet the spreader triangle rather than hang below it. OTOH, doesn't look like shoulder squeeze is a problem.

    They don't publish the cost...

Yep - that's why I stopped putting so much effort into the completely waterproof hammock bivy...nowhere to cook, dress, etc. Much more convenient to have a separate tarp to stand under, cook and eat under, block wind, etc.

If they really started in 1990, it pre-dates a lot of other hammocks like the Bridge and Chrysalis. I wouldn't count this one as a bridge though...just a spreader-bar hammock.
