I really like the idea of an attached underquilt, but I can't do without an integrated bug net.

The more I mess with bug nets, the more an integrated bug net seems like a winning idea.

Have you tried The new Boone bug net yet? Modular and looking very interesting

I saw it last year at Fall Sprawl after he had just started offering them. I was impressed by how well they fit the Boone hammock and the coverage they offered.

I have the boone bug net on my boone 20*. It works really well, i rarely stake it to the ground, i only stake it when there's plenty of bugs, which isnt very often. The one down side of it is when i pull the UQ to the side, the net almost doesn't cover everything, i have an inch or so gap between the hammock body and net. This is ok for me, since I rarely pull the UQ to the side. I found it sufficient to just open all the cords, and let the UQ drop. My nights in the woods are rarely over 70*.
    I'd rather be hanging.

Do you think that if extra material was added to the bottom of the bug net it might solve the gap? Plenty of bugs here in Michigan

Ya, 6in would be more than sufficient. Even 2 in would help a ton. Of course you'd need to treat the hammock body with permethrin so they dont bite through.
It works with the boone because the UQ body is significantly higher than the body. Almost a whole foot at some angles.
    I'd rather be hanging.

Agreed on value. If this were an ENO made setup, it would be smaller, heavier, not as warm, and well over $400.
