    WTB: Cinch Buckle Adapter

Hi everyone. I'd really like to stop using the slap straps and go with some 1in non-nylon webbing with cinch buckles as my suspension setup. I found this pic in the gallery...

... and this is exactly what I'm looking for except I'd like it to be 4in long. Does anyone here make these? If so, please contact me as I would love to purchase these. Thx.

    Cinch Buckle

    Hey Darkstar,

That setup is one I put on a Mosquito Hammock No Net.
I got the setup from mule, he was selling them at the time.
It is now on my Hennesy

I would watch this video from Griz, he shows how to do the same thing with straps from stapworks and some amstel blue and cinch buckles. all the links needed are at the end of the video.

I recently ordered and made this setups.

    Enjoy

    Hi, Darkstar!

Personally, I'd go with cgul1's suggestion.

My second choice would be to wait for a better response than mine.

As a last resort, I have a pair of 13" ones I made and am not going to be using. I could rework them to 4" with some unused black 1" tubular webbing I have, if you could live with my amateur sewing.

Thx for the pic and the link. Great video! My one question is why is the 2nd biner used on the treeside instead of just running the line thru the loop on the end like you would with a slap strap? Seems like extra weight unless that treeside biner does something...

PMFJI - quicker setup/tear down, less friction wear on the strap.

Cool... PM me here if it gets to that.

If you order the cinch buckles (http://www.onrope1.com/store/index.p...=118&parent=29) I could sew them up for you and help you convert your system over. We're right down the road from each other.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Hey Rev! Thanks man! I'm going to take you up on that offer. I'm going to order some cinch buckles from onrope1.com and also some polypro webbing from strapworks.com...

    question?

strapworks sells light 600lb test, middle 750lb test, and heavyweight 900lb test 1" polypro webbing. Which would be best?
