    Quilt Sizing Help

I am looking at Top Quilts and am stuck on what size to get. I am 5'9", 180 lbs, 40" chest if that helps. When looking on EE's site they say the Short quilt is 72" long but only recommended for those up to 5'6". Would I be okay in that or would I need the longer quilt? Any help would be appreciated!

Why not send a pm to Paul at UGQ'S,, I think they actually have some flight jackets in your size on clearance.

Edit,-, just looked and all that's left are 30° and 0° topquilts.

Contact any of the cottage vendors and they will be glad to work with you.

a 30 degree TQ ought to handle most stuff, you can always use a fleece liner as well. i would only get a zero degree specifically for ultrawinter camping lol

EE is a great cottage company and they are also "pros". For cold weather camping, I would go with their rec. For summer/near summer 72 should be fine.

I'm 5'7" / 185# and have 72" and 78" UGQ Flightjackets. I feel my 40*, 72" Flightjacket is as short as I'd want to ever go. It just comes up to my chin without scrunching my feet, but it's a balancing act to get neck coverage and have foot room. My 20*, 78" quilt seals around my neck with a fat poof of down under my cheeks that provides warmth and seals out drafts and gives more comfortable foot room. The different lengths work OK for me for the warmer and cooler temp ranges, since I don't need the extra neck insulation in warmer weather. If you're in the market for a cold weather quilt, I'd definitely recommend 78".
