At over $1 a foot for unspecified content webbing rated to only 400# I think I would rather stick with Strapworks. Get the seatbelt polyester webbing simple sling and cut it in half. You know what you've got and you know what it's quality is. They might be fine. They just seem a little high in price for the information given.

    ok i can understand that.

here is what i want. i liked that setup because it has different loops on it so you can adjust it. i have a hh and am looking for a easier way to set it up. the knots work good and i havent had a problem with them but i want to go a different way. i could get the starp and sew it myself but at the same time i dont have a sewing machine anymore. (so my tarp project has been put on hold also) and until i get another one i cant really do any projects like that.

i have looked at the ring buckle systems also but like i said i really wanted something really simple for now. next year i am looking into getting a new hammock and at that point ill get another one that has a better system with it. so any ideas?

for all the wbbb fans out there. i know what you are going to say. (and that is the hammock i am thinking about, shugs videos on it were what really sold me on it but i cant make a purchase like that until next year because of the wife)

If you like the extra loops that might justify the extra expense of those straps but I would make one additional suggestion. They show the straps run through the loops at the tree. I would use a biner just because I loathe threading the straps like that. I did it for a while and found it got real old for me real fast.

imo, a ringbuckle system w/biners is about as convenient as it gets.

I don't know where you hang, but around here, 7 1/2 ft long straps is really cutting it short. For the price, get a long simple sling from strapworks. It will hold a lot more weight, and you will have more strap length.

    2 main reasons...

    1. they are nylon and stretch a lot
    2. lack of adjustment. sometimes that "perfect hang" is right between the given loops

I'm in the process of switching over to polypro webbing with cinch buckles. Both on order at the moment. Luckily for me, ramblinrev lives in my neck of the woods and has offered to do the sewing

also, my slapstraps are not long enough...
