That first campsite picture is very cool. It makes me happy that summer is just around the corner!
Love that place -- went there a lot when I attended seminary in Kentucky ... and since. The last time I went there were hundreds of dead falls across the trail -- a wind storm had wreaked havoc and thy had not begun to clear them.
Yes, I got turned around once after topping out on Martin's Fork. Did you pick it back up at the outcropping?

Seems like there were many outcroppings. I'll probably try to do the same route here pretty soon now that it's spring.

Great report! Curious, do you use a pad under your legs with the bottom entry and Phoenix?
Yes, I use a CCF pad for my legs. I had a fairly thick thermarest ridgerunner (I think) CCF pad that I cut the ends off. Makes a sit pad and foot insulation that's about 2'x2'
