I usually lay my pack on the ground beneath my hammock. (Some hang their pack). It keeps the pack clean & dry.
Also, I take a sponge bath each evening at dusk. Using a dropper bottle of no-rinse camp soap and a quart size ziplock half filled with water, I strip down and wipe myself with a microfiber towel soaked in that water. The Tyvek is what I stand on while doing this, next to a convenient bush that serves as a clothes rack.

CCF kneeling pad/sit pad/foot insulation. Heavy duty trash bag. Depends on the situation. I like to bag my pack with a trash bag in case of rain/heavy dew.
    YMMV

If car or kayak camping, I use a cheap Wal-Mart tarp (<$10):

If backpacking, I use Tyvek sheet. IMO, it helps having some ground cover underneath the hammock to keep dirt/mud at bay from both my gear and the inside of the hammock.

I've never used a ground mat for under the hammock. What makes you want one?

An empty 50 lb bag that dogfood comes in. It is like tyvek on steroids. I trimmed it up to a rectangle shape
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

This is exactly what I do.

I don't use one either. I have a few sit pads like Dutch sells but I plan on spraying some neverwet on one and see if it will work to step on when getting out of the hammock before putting my shoes on.

I got some tyvek from zpacks (I think). Cut that down to like 3 by 2. I sit that under the tarp and usually put my pack on it. Or, hang the pack and have some of the stuff sacks laying on the tyvek. It came in REAL handy when a T-storm hit and my tarp had 20 holes in it. I grabbed the tyvek and placed over the hammock ridge line. At least it kept my head and torso dry.
