But we all know that's a lie - we all want immediate gratification. I checked the order status on the HammockGear website every day, ten times a day only to see the order status as "Awaiting Fulfillment." Were truer words ever said? You're darn straight I was awaiting fulfillment!

Still, I wanted to keep my word to myself and Stormcrow and be patient, for once in my life. Last night was hard, very hard - I just about cracked - on the verge of calling, e-mailing and PMing Adam to say, "Where's the gear?" But I remained strong.

Mind you, I have no immediate need for any of the stuff I ordered - it ain't winter so I don't need the Burrow, and I've been doing without cuben tarp skins and a cuben stuff sack for years, so no hurry there. But boy, did I want that gear, desperately!

Well, my patience has been rewarded. Clicked on the order status a few minutes ago and it said, "Shipped!"

A few questions, regarding your TQ.
    1. Your decision of sewn vs. snaps at foot?
    2. Your decision on color? Happy with the Orange?
    3. Your decision for no drawstring at foot of TQ?

    Thanks,
    J

Snaps and drawstrings are for ground dwellers, or for people who want to use the quilt in their house. I'm not interested in either, so I went with sewn footbox. I haven't slept on the ground in five years and have no plans to do so.

As for color, I just liked the orange. I have HG quilts in Forest Green, black, and burnt red. The orange is my favorite color.

Nice on the orange - I dig black and orange as a color combo whenever possible....and I don't have a 20* top quilt....(finger taps on chin )

    ..thanks silvr....

I've had much the same experience waiting for my first underquilt, an Incubator 20. Didn't want to pester but couldn't resist checking status.

But got word today it has been shipped!! Yippee.

Test this weekend in the backyard, supposed to be in the low 30s, then the following weekend to the Blue Ridge for a real test.

What do you think orange and burnt red would be like?

I think it would look great. The burnt red is very subdued, and the orange is not. Burnt red on the outside and orange on the inside would be sweet!
