Overnighter, fishing in Manjaur, northern Sweden

Here are some pictures from this weekend. I took a couple of buddies from work and went off into the woods. They stayed in a cabin, but I hung out just next to the river.

Excellent weather, but lots and lots of mosquitos. The bug net worked fine, though. Oh, and I tried to the trick I read about in some thread or other, about relieveing yourself without getting out of the hammock. Worked excellent, I just tipped over slightly, zipped down, and voila! Wouldn't want to do it if I planned to hang more than one night in the same place, though, hahaha.

Some beautiful scenery, excellent fishing, good buddies...It doesn't get any better than that.

Edit: ****, I thought I resized those pics...I'll try and fix it.

BEEEEEautiful Those are some really nice pics. I really appreciate the one of the tarp. I have heavily been considering that tarp couldnt visualize how well the BMBH would hang under it. Thanks for the visual! How well do the snake skins work on that hammock?

Joz, I see that you are still using the double ridgeline with carabiners on the lower one, how is that working out for you?

Looks like a great place to hang

They are the big size ones, and they work like a charm. I roll the hammock up a few times before pulling them on. When pulled on I just fold it all up a few times, roll the webbing around it and attach it to the side of my backpack.

It's very handy. This time I kept all the gear in the cabin, but I have a couple of stuff sacks with pretty much everything I need that all go up on the line when I hang for real.

Shug: Avatar is actually a picture of an oil painting of Leonard Nimoy. I made the smoke move, though.

Here's a short movie with my buddy flyfishing and catching a couple of very nice graylings. Language is swedish.

Those were some nice grayling. I caught lots of those in Alaska when I was stationed up there. I don't think we have any grayling left in the continental US. Logging killed them all off. There is a town in Michigan named Grayling but no fish.
