Every time I see new posts, I get excited that somebody's offering to buy the kilt.

I am so tempted by this. I've been trying to talk my wife into letting me order a UtiliKilt for years.

I keep checking this thread hoping someone else has taken it to remove the temptation!

My wife promised me a Utilikilt if/when I get back into a size 42 pants. In the meantime, this was a much less expensive option. I've been largely happy with it, I just prefer the other one I have so this one has to disappear.

Will it shrink down to a 42, or is that too much of a size difference for a belt to handle?

Who made it? Is it a UT Kilt? Or a Darn Near Kilt'em?

And why couldn't you have posted this 2 days earlier, like BEFORE I placed my order???

Mine should be here tomorrow, will know how it fits then and I just may be interested in this one depending on how mine fits. Haven't worn a kilt in many years but getting back into it.

Have you checked out the comfort waist kilts from UTK?
After I get my sizing down exactly, I am getting one of those.

Which fabric strap? What purpose do these fabric straps serve? Do they help shorten the waist size?

There are two fabric straps at the top of the apron that look pretty. They have holes/grommets that buckle like a belt to the other side, maybe to secure the kilt further than the snap closures secure it but they don't allow for further adjustment.
