    New Hammock Camper here

    From Southern NH:
Tried my setup out for the first time last night. worked really well once i got it together...

    Components:
    1) ENO DoubleNest Hammock
    2) Rain Fly from a 6 person eureka tent
    3) a small amount of line for tie-outs
    4) ENO ProStraps
    5) Sleeping pad
    6) Slumberjack sleeping bag

I was worried that it might be a bit chilly but I was by far warm enough.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

Welcome to HF from Georgia! Looks like you're on the way to some great summer camping. The ProStraps have a lot of stretch to them. I switched to the Atlas Straps and that solved the problem. Good luck with your hangs...I like the windows in the tent fly.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

Welcome to the forum from NJ, thats a nice looking rain fly you have there,You will find a world of helpful tips and tricks here as well as members willing to help you out with almost any questions you may have about gear or hammock camping, i would think up in NH that a underquilt would be on your list of things to add to your set up, but if your happy with a pad and sleeping bag then good for you.! enjoy

    Welcome from Philly.
When I was a kid the only time we were in the house was to eat and sleep.

yea was thinking about a uq thats why i wanted to get out there as soon as possible to test my warmth level. I actually woke up sweating last night and the temp. got down to 40 so thats a good sign due to the fact of the costs of a decent uq! I am very happy right now with my setup though, trying to organize a couple of people to camp next weekend already.
