    Great pics lori. I am planning a trip up to burnside lake, hiking in from grover hot springs. any info would be nice if you have been there?

    Hey plowhorse, I haven't been up that direction in a long time. Used to go over Carson when I was a kid tho. You'll have to tell us all about it and refresh my memory.

    Pretty much anywhere I've gone, there's trees of some suitable shape and size. Sometimes staying with the tent dwellers means I have to use trees that are too close together, but it's no big deal. I'm glad to have fifteen foot straps tho - the trees can get big in the Sierras.
