Okay, so next week I have Wednesday and Thursday off again, and I was thinking of heading out somewhere. Fishing season should be back on by then and it would be nice to catch a couple for dinner. Then again, Miquelon is just down the road, so is Joseph Lake. There is also Elk Island for which I have a park pass ..... Oh decisions, decisions.

I think I'm in for at least one of those nights. Hope to have my new SLD Streamliner by then too.

I'll check the family calendar and confirm.

I don't eat meat so I'm out for the fishing.

Great. It will be a good time, wherever we decide to go. Jo lake is really nice, and affordable. I really want to check out Something west of the city. I will research a little more as to what is out that way.
What kind of streamliner did you get Mike?

OK - I'm definitely in for the Wednesday night. I'm not working Wednesday so I can head out during the day. Selfishly speaking, west of the city works better for me but not sure what's got any type of remoteness. I'd be fine with the walk-in sites at Elk Island.

If we had a canoe then we could hit the islands or crown land on the North Saskatchewan. Water's pretty high right now though.

I went with a double layer 1.1 for the streamliner. I've currently got a Hennessy Explorer Deluxe which is more than good but I wanted something that I could play with a bit more. The Hennessy is just a bit too all-in-one and I want to play with my setup more than it allows.

Okay. The walk in sites at Elk Island would be perfect for this. There are a number of them. Hopefully more will join us.

If you follow any road north or south of Edson you will reach crown land. The problem is that right now the roads are still fairly sloppy and will swallow the burliest of 4x4. Its a better bet to research more and stick with somewhere we know for now.

Sounds good. I'm pretty much open to any destination. I haven't stayed at the walk-in sites at Elk Island so I'm definitely not sold on them. Especially if they're the same price as a full site.

I agree with sticking with somewhere we know for now.
