SLD DL Streamliner - almost new - for WL Snipe in same condition

I have a camo, 1.1 oz Double Layer SimplyLightDesigns StreamLiner in like new condition - just hung a few times at home to try it out - I'll trade for a WildernessLogics Snipe in the same condition - no rips, repairs, smells, stains, etc.

Almost tempted, the SLD streamliner has peaked my interest, but just got the Snipe from another member here 3 weeks ago. I've only spent 2 nights in it and not sure that I'm ready to swap it out before getting more time in it. Good luck.

You will be trading for a smaller hammock. Plus camo pattern. Plus double layer. as far a weight, the SLD shows 11.5 to 12.5 oz while the snipe says 18 oz with whoopie slings and suspension straps so they may be near equal there. The Cat-Cut of the SLD means not so much fabric on the sides but it makes the edges a little firm when getting in/out. The SLD's continuous loop at the ends is a $9.00 option.

I do like the hang versatility of the smaller 9 ft hammock for day hikes - sometime trees are not far enough apart to support 11 ft. But I believe I have a DIY to cover that and want to try a Snipe. If I don't get any "action" in a week. I'll withdraw and either just sell the SLD or keep it.

At 6' my initial impression was, that with my feet and head in the boxes, the Snipe was huge. But then my old DIY was huge also which was a benefit last summer in Maine when the sun came up at 5 am. I would just grab all that excess fabric and drag it over my head to block out the sun. There have been other threads on the benefits of a narrower hammock and the Streamline seems to address those issues. Enough to make me wonder. My only problem with the Snipe is that I'm a feet left head right so I have to turn the Snipe upside down. Not a problem other than that dang Wilderness Logic label is right in front of my face every time I open my eyes. Just joking Marty. I'm sure that if you put the Streamline up For Sale it will go quickly.

At 6 ft, you are probably just a little long for a 9 ft hammock or rather it clearly won't have the space of an 11 ft'er. But there is no Left or right (or top or bottom) side to it. Hummm, I'm starting to like it more already.
