    8pc 8wt Backpacking fly setup.

I picked the fly setup off a HF member over the winter in prep for my Isle Royale trip.. I've had to can the trip this year , and find myself needing funds to support my DIY habits.

The rod: A LL Bean 8 piece Travel Series 8 wt fly rod, 9' long. The rod is brand new (still has the plastic on the grips).
The Reel: An Orvis Battenkill IV large Arbor reel, with spare spool. One spool is loaded with WF8F line, and the other with a WF8I line. The reel has been used by the previous owner.. I've never used them, and I had the Orvis Reel and spool checked out at the Orvis Store in Avon CT in Feb of this year, and everything is in great condition.

    Price: $325 Shipped CONUS.

That would be a heck of a place to backpack where one needs an eight weight fly rod... But it would be the greatest Alaskan travel setup ever. And a good deal.

I picked it up specifically for backwater pike on Isle Royale and Lake Superior Lakers and Steelhead..

Remember too, that the rod has LLBeans lifetime guarantee on it.
