G'day, long time lurker, first time poster

    G'day,

I've been lurking here in the forum for quite some time so today I decided to break the ice and post as well as donate.
I haven't yet started hammock camping and that is the main reason I gravitated here after watching numerous YouTube videos, Shug, Professor Hammock etc.

I live in Victoria Australia and like to spend most of my time in the bush in the High Country, the Victorian Alps where it snows in winter. Yes, it does snow in Australia, its not all desert.

Looking forward to finally taking the plunge and getting my first hammock very, very soon.

    Cheers,

    b.

    Hello from Toronto.

I got my first introduction to hanging watching Shug's videos as well. I had my kids "whoo-buddy'n" for months. Even now my little on will belt one out now and again.

    Cheers

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

My first hammock will almost certainly be a DIY gathered end hammock so that I can try hammock camping and determine if it's right for me. I would have started on that project this weekend but I appear to have broken my sister in-law's sewing machine that I currently have the loan of.

    Cheers,

    b.
