Tarp and the Turtledog

I was curious what others do when they deploy the ole tarp over the hammock. Over or under the top rail? Also, where you attaching the ridgeline? The tripod or top rail.

You have to attach a tarp to the ridgepole. If you attach it to the tripods, it will pull them in when you attempt to tension the tarp ridgeline during setup.

I use an S-hook hooked onto the end of the ridge pole with the SF over the ridge pole. I am a bit skeptical about rigging it on top of the ridge pole. It worked fine in a heavy snow storm at 20*F but I suspect that I'd get a lot of drips if it was raining hard.

Hopefully, someone will respond that has tried over in rain and can tell us whether it works.
