Hey guys, big time hiker, camper, outdoors-dude here. I go by Adam and I originally hail from Seattle, practically live out of REI and love camping! I've always been a tent guy, I can set up a tent pretty fast-didn't think much of hammocks till now. For some reason always thought about them as the outside futon that you bring indoors when it rains.
Since I'm kind of crazy when it comes to camping (I mean, I could live in the woods probably!) I've been researching minimalist gear. I hate carrying a bunch of gear and prefer travelling light. Also, I love DIY anything.
Some things about me:
I LOVE rope and knots. It's kind of a big deal with me.
I'm totally into puzzles and ways to use your noggin.
Been working on survival training and work with several groups dedicated to disaster/emergency preparation.
As of right now I am learning the hardships and just plain awesomeness of DIY hammock camping. So I am eager to learn anything/everything about it!
