On this Android phone (Samsung Note3) I do not find a degree symbol. "*" is available as a long press on the lowercase j. However there are other keyboard that can be downloaded for an Android phone.

On android (I use Swype keyboard on a galaxy 4) long press the f key hold it until you get 4 options, not just the underscore. One of them will be the ° symbol.
It's now 64° here.

Yup, learned this new tip today, it 65° where i live today, thanks Riaffnuke. I have been wondering how to do that,, i normally just say its 65f today but this is much nicer ° .
