Anybody wanting to cook please feel free to make whatever you like. There will be lots of us there to eat. I always appreciate some good food. Just because I'm cooking doesn't mean you shouldn't.

If you don't like my cooking there's always MRE's.***Hotlips
Sounds good and tasty to me.Is this worth doing, or is it just going to be overkill with whatever else you're planning?
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
Hopefully they will be able to make it.Added myself and at least one friend to the list. Possibly as many as another 4 people but you know how that goes

I'm sure the two of us would be interested in shirts.
Wow this Hang is going so great we might need site 3
Straight out of Clayton.
Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.
I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.
At this point wife and I are planning to go up Thursday PM and spend the night at the family camp grounds at either site 18 or 19 http://www.ncparks.gov/Visit/parks/m...railerCamp.pdf as these are the only two sites at the family campgrounds that are hammock friendly.
I am hoping the weather is nice enough that we do not have to deploy our tarps ( labor day weekend last year we camped there and it rained. it lightening, thunder and poured but we stayed dry )
That way we can go over to the Park Office in the AM ( it opens about 8 AM but I probably will not go over there until 9 am) and hopefully get the group camp site gate unlocked shortly after the Park Office opens.
If some one wants to join us for Thursday night let me know so we can co ordinate as we are limited to a max of 6 people at this site.
If someone else wants to

If we have to get site 3 we will reserve it for the ultra light long distance back packersWow this Hang is going so great we might need site 3
Just checked the sign up sheet and if everyone comes that signed up we will have 40 campers, most in hammocks and a couple of tents full of folks wanting to learn. This could be lots of fun.
We are allowed a max of 40 people per group site so 80 people total between site 1 and 2. Unfortunately I don't think there are that many hanging spots (80) available. But I could be wrong as I have seen some hangers get very creative in the spots they have hung.
I am hoping to finish my Turtle Dog Stand ( need the center support pole to finish ) and bring it.
Have to get my old trailer fixed or buy a new one so I can haul all the gear.

We 13 hammocks set up over the two days. I know we could set up more at site 1 but I never did get around to getting a good count but I know the wife and I estimated about 20 potential places to hang at site 1 and close to that at site 2.How many hammocks did we have last spring? Seems to me we could have fit many more at site #1.
Now if we get as many folks showing up as this hang (see first picture) https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...read!!....then we will really find out how many hammocks we can hang there.
