    UGO zepelin underquilt packed sizes.

    I was wondering about the pack sizes of the zepelin underquilts, I was thinking of getting a 20f one, but if the 0f is not much larger packed I may be tempted. I am not so worried about weight but bulk is important to me.

    Anyone got a pic or two of them packed?

    Thanks.

    I can't find where this info is posted on the website. I'd like to know 3/4 UQ stuffed sizes.

    I finally found the stuff sack sizes, in each individual description of quilts. I was looking for a chart. Still no 3/4 UQ stuff sack size...

    How did I miss that. Silly me. Thanks for the posts.

    Answer:
    20f = 12x7 inch stuff sack
    0f = 9x12 inch
    Stuff sacks are sized so they fit in with a little effort but can be compressed more with a compression sack.

    Ahhhh.. the dreaded stuff sack size... We have folks who say they are too big, some who say they are too small, and some who say they are just right. I can stuff a 50*F TQ into a 1L bag with major effort but most folks wouldn't like the amount of work needed to get it in there if we sent that as a stuff sack. Our goal is to provide a stuff sack that will hold the quilt reasonable compressed. A larger TQ will be a bit harder to fit into their respective stuff sack and a smaller TQ will have a bit more room. Having a total of 80 TQ sizes it is not practical or cost effective for us to provide a stuff sack matched to each size.

    Maybe we can add a drop down menu with stuff sack size options, with a "Small" "Recommend" and "Large" for each quilt. Recommended would be one sized by us, small would be next size down, and large would be next size up.

    I have to say that my 0f zeppelin +6" wasn't really difficult to get into the stuff sack per se, and I've not been using it for the quilt when I've been out so it's not an issue... however if I was to use it for it's intended purpose then it does take longer than I would like to keep all that down from exploding out while I stuff in the next section. Imo a stuffsack with an extra 2"-3" extra diameter would have been perfect. But like I said I don't use it for my quilt, it does make an excellent food bag though!

    I don't see why we couldn't make the stuff sack a little bigger...sorry if its been a bit of a pain in the butt for everyone...we can fix this pretty easily

    Like i said, it's not been an issue for me I stuff my uq and converted sleeping bag straight into my packliner to save time and so I can easily use the amount of compression to fill out my pack as required, but for someone who wants to use it and get packed up asap then it might be?? It's probably always gonna come down to personal preference...

    I generally stuff both TQ & UQ into one of the storage sacks then into a pack liner then stuffed into the bottom of my pack.
    Its a proven fact that 78.4% of all statstics are made up on the spot.
