Newbie being lazy with tarp setup

So I'm a pretty lazy person so I came up with this idea to hang my ENO ProFly

Setup around a pillar in my apt for testing. The ridgeline is tied to the carabiner with a bowline knot. Does anyone see any problems with this? I'm mostly a car camper so I'm not concerned with the extra weight of the carabiners and I like the idea of just wrapping the ridgeline around a tree and clipping it, then using the linelocs to tension the tarp.

Lazy? I call it adaptive. Lots of us set up our gear inside our homes, either because it's convenient, or because we're really going to use it inside.

As far as the wrap and clip with your tarp line, that's done, too. Your bowline should suffice and the carabiner is a fine idea. The method is popular enough that a cottage vendor, "Dutchware," makes a small Ti hook to be used on a tarp line just like how your doing.

The Linelocs are a neat idea. Lots of folks use similar, various methods of keeping the ridgeline tight.

    Welcome from Central California!

Looks good to me but I would have used a clove hitch. Easier to untie and maybe stronger. ;-)
    YMMV

Fine at home, but I hope you use tree huggers in the woods.
